Texas Rib Contest/Winning Technique

Soon to Be Famous Texas Ribs

Simmer one rack of Saint Louis trimmed spare ribs* in water for 45
minutes or until tender. While ribs are simmering heat 1-quart of Kraft
Smoke & Honey BBQ sauce with an additional 1/2 cup clover honey and
1-Tablespoon Wright's Liquid Smoke.

Allow spare ribs and BBQ sauce to slightly cool.

Coat spare ribs with 1/2-cup of Honey BBQ Sauce and wrap tightly in two
layers of heavy duty Alcoa Aluminum Foil and refrigerate. Refrigerate
remaining Honey BBQ Sauce for later use.

30 minutes prior to serving, or submitting to contest judge, unwrap ribs
and brush with Honey BBQ Sauce, let come to room temperature.

On a Gas grill set to Medium (middle of dial) heat sauced ribs, applying
more Honey BBQ Sauce as necessary, until you smell the smoky goodness of
the Wright's Liquid Smoke essence in the air.

*If using Baby Back ribs, reduce simmering time to 30 minutes.
